Gallery - 1984 Trek 560, Dan Shindelar
Dan writes: "This is a beautiful black with red
accents, very low mileage, pro level bike when Trek was still hand-building
with steel in Wisconsin. Frame size: 59cm cTc seat tube and 57cm cTc
top tube. Made in America. Nearly flawless and shiny black finish. Reynolds
501. Black Dia Compe AC500 brakes mated to AC250G levers. Beautiful
forward sweeping French Belleri bars. SunTour MII front and read derailleurs
and DT shift levers. Mallard hubs laced to Matrix Strada black rims,
rear is 6 speed Helicomatic. Sakae 170 crank with 52/42 rings."
This bike was brazed in late 1983 but was painted with
1984 graphics. Trek used Reynolds 501 double-butted tubing for its
mid-level frames during the years 1983, 84 and 85.
