Gallery - 1986 Trek 760, Dave Staublin

Dave writes: "I cycled extensively during college 15 years ago, but "gave it up" after graduation and the onset of job, career, wife, and kids. Recent life changes have re-energized my desire to get on the bike, so I got it out of storage in the basement and have begun preparing it for a new life on the road. Along the way, I discovered your web-site and thought pictures and information about my bike might be interesting and useful to you."

"I purchased this 1986 model Trek 760 on May 6, 1987 for $634.40. I bought it at Cross Country Sports in Calumet, MI. The serial number of the bike is 247140. It's a 24 inch frame with a blue/white fade paint scheme. I have the original owner's manual and the original tag from the bike. I also have copies of the pages out of the brochure which shows the picture of the bike and all the frame geometry and component specifications. Along the way (or recently), I've replace the seatpost, handlebar stem, pedals, saddle, brake pads, tires, and chain. I have all the original parts (including the white seat cover!) with the exception of the seatpost."
