Gallery - 1984 Trek 720 - Classic Touring

This 720 belongs to Wayne Bingham. Wayne writes: "I'm the second owner. I believe it was purchased originally as a frame-set and built up by a shop. I believe that because when I got it, all the components were period-correct, but not as was specified in the Trek literature. I changed the stem, bars and levers to better suit my needs. The stem is a Specialized by Nitto, and the levers are the Dia Comps (can't remember the model no.) designed specifically for cantilevers. I also changed the derailleurs to the Suntour XC Comp stuff and added the old Jim Blackburn front rack. The rest is as I found it. Campy Record hubs laced to Mavic G 40 rims, Sugino AT crank, Shimano cantis, Brooks saddle, SR post. I have some Suntour bar-con shifters ear-marked for it, but haven't gotten around to it. It's on the list!"
