Gallery - Bill Howard's 1979 Trek 730/736

Bill writes: "I've attached pictures of the 1979 (I think) Trek 736 I recently acquired on eBay. I've been looking for a clean early Trek in my (64cm) size for sometime and feel really fortunate to have acquired this clean example."

"The bike seemed to be complete as per the orignal spec with two noteable exceptions. It had a nice Sugino Mighty Tour 110 BCD double with sort of strange gearing (53/36) and a Sugino BB. Also an Avocet Touring II saddle. Everything else was Shimano 600. The components and frame are in great shape. Used a little but not much. It will end up being built with later vintage Suntour Superbe Pro stuff and some other miscellaneous (BOBish) pieces. The 600 headset is beautiful; I'll keep that. I just acquired the weird Shimano headset wrenches, also on eBay."
